Greenwood's Parent Group

The purpose of the Greenwood Parent Group is to:

  • facilitate a working relationship between families, school administrators and teachers at GES
  • provide linkage between teachers, administrators and the community at large to ensure that every child at GES will receive unsurpassed opportunities for learning
  • to enhance and enrich the curriculum at GES through programs and materials
  • to provide parent education
  • to provide communications between GES and parents of children attending GES

Being part of a community means being part of something bigger than yourself. Support and service for your community is not just something that we ask of our Greenwood parents, it is something that we teach our students from the very beginning of their time here. We value helpfulness and give our students daily opportunities to aid their peers at school and to contribute to the wider society as well.

We also give the same opportunities to our parent community. Through your gifts of time, talent and resources you show your support for our school. Volunteer opportunities are extensive and we encourage you to get involved in your children’s school in any way that you can.

Support of our fundraising effort is equally important. Fundraising makes up the difference between public school funding and offering additional opportunities to our students.

Our major fundraising events this year are:

Holiday Bazaar-December 15th

Fall Family Fun Event-Thursday, November 17th

Quarter Auction-March (TBD)

Spring Family Fun Event: Spring Playground Reveal-February or March (TBD)
