MEET GREENWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
Greenwood Elementary School is home to the soaring Eagles! GES serves students in grades 2 through 5, preparing them for middle school while focusing on continuous improvement. The elementary school is led by Principal Mr. Brandon Austin and Vice Principal Alexis Coleman. GES also builds a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment where every student is supported as a learner and developed as a responsible, respectful young person prepared for future success.

At Greenwood Elementary, we Support, Grow, and Soar to the Top by empowering every student to learn, grow, and succeed while supporting every staff member through collaboration and continuous growth. Together, we foster a culture of high expectations, shared responsibility, and continuous improvement as we work to achieve strong academic and social outcomes for all and soar from a 3-star to a 4-star school.

Our promise to our school community is that every decision we make will be centered on what is best for our students. We will work hard to provide engaging learning experiences, build strong relationships, celebrate every success, and help every child overcome obstacles with confidence. We’re committed to maintaining high expectations while making sure every student knows they belong and that someone believes in them. We also know that a great school is built on strong partnerships with families. Your encouragement, involvement, and support make an incredible difference in your child's success. I look forward to getting to know all of our families and students throughout the year and working together to ensure every student has an outstanding elementary school experience. This year, our school theme is #SoaringtotheTOP, and it represents much more than a slogan. It reflects who we want to be as a school community. That means creating a school where every student and staff member is supported and inspired to learn each day, promoting academic and professional growth. We have rebranded our school building with a clean, fresh look that emphasizes our school theme and promotes our ability to SOAR to the top!
