To the quiet heroes of our school…. It’s School Custodian Appreciation Day and we would like to say thank you to our incredible custodial team! They work so hard to keep our school clean and safe.


We recognize and apologize that there was some miscommunication regarding Students' Free Casual Day for the month of September. To clarify, it is always the LAST FRIDAY of every month. Since there is no school tomorrow, students received their Free Casual Day last Friday.

Good morning SCPS families and staff. Schools will dismiss early today, Friday, 9/22/23, to prepare our buildings for the arrival of tropical storm Ophelia.
Secondary schools - SIS, WHS and CHS will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
Elementary schools - DIS, PAES, GES and WES will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.
The hurricane shelter at Washington High School will open at 4:00 p.m. today.
